Print trend: Urban Bohemian. I am new to the Warm collections and already completely in LOVE. Between Warm and the Ulla Johnson, I will be daydreaming of a new wardrobe! The rich color palette, pops of purple and orange, foulards, loose hand dawn florals as well as the compact ethnic florals are just gorgeous.
I think the images used below for our urban bohemian direction make for a really nice example of a print group. I talk about print groups a lot in regards to working with a print studio on consignment. It is a really great way to maximize your sales and add value to the collection you are designing for.
You create 4-6 prints as one group with a cohesive vibe and/or color story. All prints are equally interesting. This is not about creating a hero print and coordinates, this is about creating 4-6 equally good prints that all have high sell ability. If you see below how well these prints work together. Similar vibe, color story and yet each stands alone as a strong print. Nothing feels like a coordinate or a twin. They are all heroes. That is what it means to design in a group.
