Dotted classics showed up in the collections of several designers for the spring summer 20 shows. More than ten designers showed dots in one form or another. Pin dot, open dot, large dots, patchwork dots. You name it. I started to wonder if it was just a coincidence or was there a message behind it? Perhaps utilizing fabric on hand as a theme across the season to promote zero waste or seasonless design concepts?
I might be reaching, but it would be really cool if these dotted classics were intentional to make a statement. Thoughts?
