We have been seeing snakeskin both on and off the runway for years. This is a great example of the way classic prints can turn up again and again. A great way to add value to your online collection or print offerings is to choose a classic print that aligns with your clients and skillset and keep them on hand at all times. Perhaps even find your own unique spin to that classic to make it your own.
This will ensure that when a classic print trend turns up again, you are ready to send options out to your buyers and in your unique hand at that.
In this instance, the trend might be more of a case of designers using fabric on hand in an effort of zero waste, but the trend will still reach manufacturers that do not have it on hand and they will be looking to buy. Isn’t it interesting that designers aiming for zero waste actually still spur on the purchasing of new art and production of new goods? Here is another post you might like on this topic.
